The New York Times wanted to combat the idea of “Fake News” and that journalism is the enemy of the people. To do this we first started with some research and came across a staggering yearly statistic of the number of journalists that are killed, wounded or taken captive in the pursuit of bringing us the truth.
To celebrate them and their sacrifice, we created a once a year Price of Truth issue, printed in red ink and given out for free on World Press Freedom Day, it showcases the stories written by and about these brave men and women.
The Price of Truth issue contains stories of fallen journalist from around the world.
